Per PersonDooars, often called the gateway to Bhutan, is a picturesque region in the foothills of the eastern Himalayas, spreading across North Bengal and parts of Assam. The word “Dooars” comes from the word “doors”, as the region has numerous passes that connect India with Bhutan.
Known for its lush tea gardens, dense forests, wildlife sanctuaries, and rivers, Dooars is one of the most beautiful destinations in Eastern India. It lies between the Teesta River in the west and the Sankosh River in the east, covering the districts of Jalpaiguri, Alipurduar, and parts of Cooch Behar.

Pick-up from NJP / New Mal Jn / Bagdogra Airport. Drive through scenic tea gardens and river valleys. Check-in at resort/hotel near Lataguri / Gorumara. Evening: Enjoy Gorumara Jungle Safari (subject to availability). Overnight stay at Lataguri / Gorumara.

Early morning jungle safari at Chapramari / Gorumara. After breakfast, proceed for a scenic tour: Samsing & Suntalekhola – lush tea gardens & eco-villages. Rocky Island – riverside picnic spot. Return to resort by evening. Overnight stay at Lataguri / Gorumara.

After breakfast, full-day trip covering: Jhalong – scenic valley on Jaldhaka River. Bindu – last village of West Bengal on Bhutan border. Paren – forested hamlet with river views. Evening: Return & enjoy leisure / cultural program at resort. Overnight stay at Lataguri / Gorumara.

After breakfast, check out & transfer to Charkhole. Enroute visit: Lava Monastery (Neora Valley region). Rishop – panoramic viewpoint of Kanchenjunga (if weather clear). Reach Charkhole, a peaceful offbeat hamlet known for pine forests & stunning mountain views. Evening: Leisure, enjoy local village walk. Overnight stay at Charkhole.
